New Jersey Minimum Wage Increase to $7.15 Effective October 1, 2006
The state of New Jersey has raised the minimum wage to $7.15, effective October 1, 2006. All Federal Work Study (FWS) students who were making less than $7.15 will receive an increase in pay to reflect the new minimum wage retroactively to October 1.
Please note that this increase will take place automatically, and no action is required from FWS students or their supervisors.
Students already making $7.15 or more per hour will not be receiving an increase at this time.
